Here are some of the more commonly asked questions about Plant Nappy and Plant Nappy products.
We are constantly investing in R&D, and continuously developing new technologies. If you have a particular application that you have not found a solution for, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Each one of our products is developed and manufactured, onsite, in the UK. Wherever possible, materials are sourced locally.
Plant Nappy is designed with outdoor use in mind. Carefully chosen materials ensure that the product is UV resistant, crush resistant and can withstand adverse weather. The product design ensures that it functions exceptionally well on uneven surfaces, and rainwater is filtered through the side walls, removing any contaminants, and allowing it to escape.
Liners are not needed for the Plant Nappy to function. However, many customers choose to use a liner for maintenance and to lengthen the life of the product even further.
This would depend on the amount of use and the amount of oil dropped onto the Plant Nappy. We have had a Plant Nappy that has been used daily for eight years and is still functional.
Depending upon the size of the Plant Nappy, the product can adsorb up to 16 litres of oil. This is up to 6 litres per metre squared.
Nothing, the Plant Nappy is designed to be a standalone product, and will function 100% straight out of the bag; no assembly needed.
Whilst the PlantMat has been designed to be used outside and is made from particularly robust materials, like all polymer based products should water come into contact with the spillage before it has been absorbed, contaimated water run off can occur.
As such, if you plan on using PlantMat in areas where the risk of water contact is high we advise using it in conjunction with Plant Nappy. By working together they offer absolute all weather environmental protection. This allows unrivalled water filtration through the Plant Nappy sidewalls whilst at the same time immobilising oils and fuels.
The PlantMat can be used on multiple ocassions making it great to take from job to job. When in use visual changes will occur to show you exactly where any spillage has been absorbed and when nearing capacity the PlantMat will become increasingly rigid.
When at capacity the PlantMat must be disposed of appropriately. For more infomation about responsible disposal please see the dedicated section on our website.
